Memoria Day means different things for different people. For many people, Memorial Day is the unofficial beginning of summer. With various festivals, parties, picnics and outdoor cookouts, the origins and true meaning seem to have been lost. This Memorial Day weekend, let's not forget to remember our loved ones that have left us and those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in our behalf.
One of my favorite activities is attending the Greek Heritage Festival at the Greek Heritage Church of the Annunciation. Built in 1912 and located in what has become the very trendy Tremont neighborhood, this is the oldest Greek Orthodox Church in the Cleveland area. In this life of constant change it is a pleasure to know that this is an annual event that is as dependable as the 96 year old church is itself. For a weekend of Greek beer & wine, live music, dancing and authentic home cooked Greek food and pastries; this is the place to be
