New Wine Bar in Broadview Heights, Ohio Sets Standard for Midwest Wine Enjoyment
Anthony and Denise LoSchiavo have brought their entrepreneurial spirit to the world of wine. The Eleven Hundred Club, an upscale wine and martini bar, with some fresh and innovative twists, has opened up in Broadview Heights, Ohio on Royalton Road (Rt. 82) west of I-77. Anthony (Tony) of the Antonio's Pizza Chain family spent several years designing the bar, which incorporates the flair of a New York City nightclub with an Old World Tuscan classic elegance. Tony named the bar based on the street address of 1100 W. Royalton Road, reminiscent of clubs of a by-gone area.
Previously Tony owned two of the family's Antonio's Pizza franchises, and recently sold their BroadviewHeights location to his brother, who relocated the franchise right next to the Eleven Hundred Club. A serving window connecting the two establishments allows Antonio's to provide Eleven Hundred Club patrons with gourmet pizzas such as Tuscany, Vegetable, and Shrimp Alfredo. The club has a full selection of appetizers and desserts, as well as its full-service bar featuring 40 specialty martinis.
The Eleven Hundred Club has already set itself apart from its predecessors in the industry with a couple of twists that make it unique. The “Club” features ninety-six “Wine Cages,” which are the equivalent of safe deposit boxes for your wine collection.Patrons pay an annual fee to rent the “Cages,” and then stock them from a special wine list featuring 200 wines by the bottle at state minimum retail prices. It's not too often you can go to an on-premise establishment and order a bottle of wine from your private locker for the same price you would buy it at your local wine store. Additionally, they offer a large selection of wines by the glass and brand for brand, their prices starting at $5 for a 6-oz pour are the least expensive that I've found.
